At Glynwood, we're practicing regenerative agriculture and training young farmers in relation to a regional food system. Regenerative agriculture is a way to return our food production systems to a more sustainable way of farming that values maintaining the health of the soil and ecosystem as part of the economic viability of farms. Glynwood Farm is committed to systems that are regional, biodiverse, humane, and socially just. Apprentices have the opportunity to experience first-hand the realities of farming in the Hudson Valley and to learn approaches that can make farms more resilient in a changing climate. Our regenerative and locally appropriate agricultural practices rebuild soil fertility and the health of our pastures to produce nutritional food for our local community. We believe these systems are invaluable for the carbon they sequester and generate and for their ability to recycle, sustain, and generate soil and plant nutrients in a self-perpetuating system with minimal to no inputs from outside the farm.
