Kettle Song Farm’s mission is to bring nutrient dense foods-- and education on sustainable living-- to its community. Kettle Song Farm strives to use the most sustainable farming practices, grow nutrient dense food for the community of Central Vermont, build humus and use limited tilling in order to help sequester carbon into the soil. We're not just interested in quality organic food production; we're committed to holistic food systems, from soil to plate. There is a direct correlation between the health of the soil and the health of the person. The healthier our soil, the more nutrient dense our crops, and then the more nutrients we have in our bodies. It is our mission to go one step further than organic and stainable practices, examining the health of the soil and the ecosystems and evaluating how this relates to human health. Our mission is not to just grow food for people, but to grow food with "life force", document this practice and share it with our customers, educational partners and extended community. In this way we can begin to change how and what people eat.
