2000 acre dryland family owned farm that uses regenerative practices and rotation to reduce the use of commercial chemicals and fertilizer. We raise 12-14 crops ranging from the traditional non-GMO corn and millet to specialty crops like buckwheat and canary. We have developed our own line of gluten free mixes using locally grown grains, we currently have 3 types of dry edible beans and are planning on adding 3 more this year. Using no till methods we have stopped soil erosion and have started building soil that has been lost. We have increased our organic matter in the soils to almost 2.5% where the surrounding farms soils are between.5-1%. We have had grains tested and the nutritional values are more than twice the standard levels established by the USDA. We use grain cleanings to feed our chickens and we also sell extra as birdseed. We also offer tours to help educate the general public and other farmers about what we have learned and new methods we are developing like establishing living mulch.
