PROVIDENCE FARM

Providence Farm embraces responsible, sustainable stewardship through regenerative agriculture practices and predator friendly farming on a 20 acre former tobacco farm in Guilford county, NC. We raise heritage breed poultry (chicken, turkey, duck), registered Tamworth pigs, registered mini-lamancha diary goats, and rare heritage breed Leicester Longwool and Tunis sheep in a multi-species, rotational grazing and silvo pasture system. Our laying flock of heritage breed poultry truly free ranges over the 20 acres and under the watchful eyes of our pack of 5 Livestock Guardian Dogs. In the absence of pesticides and herbicides, the habitat thrives, supporting diverse wildlife in pollinator gardens, meadows, woodlands, and wetlands - right alongside our domestic stock. Fresh air, sunshine, forage, and the freedom to live as nature intended, means our animals live a life free of stress. Newly established vegetable growing spaces produce organic, heirloom varieties of vegetables in layered beds and hugelkulture mounds. Fiber products (you can even meet the sheep that grew the wool!) and goats milk soaps (from our goats) are also available. Our on-site farm store is open Saturdays, 10am-12pm.
