Waverly Farms

Waverly Farms is a completely local, integrated, sustainable farm that raises pastured beef, poultry, eggs, goats (chevre), vegetables, herbs and berries. We raise beef, goats, llamas and poultry exclusively in pasture with shelter, clean water, free access to our own hay, and minerals from organic or natural sources as available. Animals are rotated across 235 acres of lush Virginia pasture and forage woods according to a planned sequence that is most beneficial for the soil, pastures and animals. All pastures and animals are free of pesticides, herbicides, growth hormones, preventive antibiotics, preservatives and additives. As a result, we have beautiful, productive pastures and excellent tasting, rich, nutritious beef, poultry, eggs and chevre. We participate fully in conservation practices with Piedmont Soil and Water Conservation District as well as the National Resource Conservation Services division of USDA. Our animals are harvested in our pasture and processed locally using only the most humane and respected procedures.
